Positive: The property is in a stunning mountain valley. It’s got a fabulous pool and beautiful grounds. The decor is also very nice.
Negative: The major downside to the hotel is that it is very remote and only local taxis know the roads. Being so remote also means that you are really limited in options to leave the hotel. So not the best spot to stay if you’re looking to also explore the island. Also, food and service vary wildly at the hotel. There is only one restaurant serving lunch and one restaurant serving dinner. The menus are not extensive and do not change. After a couple of days, you’ll have tried everything on the menu and the nearest town is a (pretty scary at times) 20-30 mins drive through the mountains so bear that in mind. The hotel is marketed as 5 star and, while it is beautiful, they’re relying too much on the mountain location and views, and need to put more into overall experience, the food and drinks offering, and consistent quality of service from staff to really provide a luxury stay.
Summary: Beautiful scenery, mixed feelings on everything else.

Negative: Terrible roads to get there. Felt it was winding down for end of season. Bar not staffed in the evening. Was a plastic wrapper under the sink when we arrived that was still there when we left, not great cleaning. We also had a meal we didn’t have added to our bill. This was sorted at check out but I think bills need to be signed when ordering food etc to avoid this happening in future.
Summary: Good value, wouldn’t go back.

Positive: Location was peaceful and a lovely get away from it all type of place. Lovely room and great facilities. BBQ on our first evening was fantastic. Service was by friendly and helpful staff.
Negative: Limited menu in the restaurant, nowhere to have a drink and relax after dinner as the bar was "on demand" only as you had to get a waiter to pour you a drink.

Positive: I loved everything. The surroundings were fabulous. Spa facilities were lovely & so nice and peaceful. Breakfast was wonderful along with the waiting staff who served us.
Negative: The drive to get to the property but of course that cannot be helped.
